Did You Know? — Masonic Island Hidden among the waters of North Dakota’s Lake Metigoshe in the Turtle Mountains rests a unique piece of Masonic history known as Masonic Island a place where the principles of our fraternity were literally brought into the outdoors. Originally known as Park Island, the site became connected to Freemasonry in the early 1900s through Brother V.B. Noble of Tuscan Lodge #44. Beginning in 1906, Masons gathered there to hold outdoor degree work and M
